Diogo left an everlasting impression on our club and our city, giving us memories to last a lifetime.
Today, we came together to honour his life, and that of his brother André.
“𝑊𝑒’𝑙𝑙 𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑘 𝑖𝑛 𝑓𝑖𝑒𝑙𝑑𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑔𝑜𝑙𝑑.”
He was fearless yet delicate, a warrior yet dainty and precise. Diogo not Diego.
He swapped the Champions League for the Championship and embraced Wolves and Wolverhampton. In return they loved and adored him.
Talking about him in the past tense doesn't make sense.
We are heartbroken.
Diogo was adored by our fans, loved by his teammates and cherished by everyone who worked with him during his time at Wolves. The memories he created will never be forgotten.
Our hearts go out to the family, friends and loved ones of Diogo and his brother, Andre.
You will be truly missed, and always remembered.
Not going to lie, I've shed a few tears this morning
In my 10 years here, prime Diogo Jota was the best I've seen in a Wolves shirt
Thoughts & prayers for Diogo, Andre & all the Jota family
Life is so precious, never take it for granted
Once a Wolf...always a Wolf🐺
