@NotGodly5805 @JackONeilSG100 @lporiginalg That's fine that you've done it. It's just not the right way, and adding a strike plate is gonna push down the dry wall just enough to make extra work. Again, forceing you to mud the whole to get it flat

@NotGodly5805 @JackONeilSG100 @lporiginalg For muddling holes like that, it is a hell of a lot more work apposed to cutting a whole rectangular strip through the ceiling. There is nothing to properly screw the drywall to each side of the pices will be floating in the wind with nithing to secure the end casuing cracks
