i've vibe coded lots of stuff. i won't call myself an engineer just because of that lol. my output is far from professional quality.
the fact that that finance guy just stole and rebrand someone else's work, not even building it from the ground up and claim to be one is so...
Next year I will be 30.
I still have entire weekends dominated by pervasive feelings of regret for my unwillingness to experience shit when I was younger. You really just need to get the fuck out and DO THINGS NOW!!
There's a common behavioural trait that you see among the more rural parts of Indonesia and also Philippines to an extent.
My family had an Indonesian helper for many years. We probably only found out too late that she sent almost every last cent home and kept none for herself. And surprise, her family splurged it on luxuries and random extended family requests instead of saving it to build a better future.
When it was time for her to go back, we gave her a lump sum so she could fulfil her dreams of starting a small business back home. And unfortunately, that got used up pretty quick. Essentially got guilt tripped by her family and relatives into sharing it with them because of all sorts of trumped up reasons - took care of your mother while you're away, my son wants to set up a business too, you definitely still have a lot more after working in SG for so long etc.
And you realize it's a very simple truth at the end of the day. To them at a family/village level, the wealth difference between you and them is more important than on an absolute basis. They'd rather you be poor together with them than being collectively rich if it resulted in you having much more than them.
Now apply this to a geographical level and that's what you get. That's why I don't really blame the likes of Prabowo. Politics is a dirty game and if you buy into this sort of sable-rattling and fail at the IQ test, you deserve to be poor and screwed over anyway.
@adambrotowijono at first gw kira ngapain lu recreate the sims tp ini menarik bet bagi(?) dong wkkwwk could use to have one connected to my home back @ makassar wk

curious about how people define "design engineer" role, and it comes with various requirements of coding proficiency, but you do need to know some level of programming language to be one.
that means purely vibe-coding designers doesn't really fit the role categorization i think?

🇫🇷 “Bismillah, c’est les ténèbres,” roughly translating to “In the name of God, its darkness,” has become a viral slogan at France’s student protests.
The phrase originated in a bizarre Snapchat message allegedly sent by an undercover police officer posing as a student to infiltrate groups organizing school blockades. The message, awkwardly mixing Arabic expressions, French youth slang, and Algerian flag emojis was asking about protest plans.
Students seized on the apparent attempt to imitate them, and have turned the phrase into a meme to mock suspected police infiltration and racial stereotyping. It now appears on protest signs and is chanted at demonstrations. Swedish activist Greta Thunberg also joined in, repeating the slogan during a visit to striking students at a high school outside Paris on October 13. The identity of the sender and police involvement remain unverified.
