The topics discussed, the readings we have read, and the class overall has been extremely enjoyable. Esp. for a summer class #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

Ms. Marvel Vol.1 doesn't seem to have a male character who plays the typical "dominant" make roleX interesting to think about #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

The E-mail story does a great job showing how men protect women in a dominant way and in a way out of pure love #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

I found the reading "E-mail from Scheherazad" to be a little challenging. I couldn't decide if the woman felt helpless over men #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

I enjoy the readings this week with how the writers intertwined the hardship of being a women & having different ethnicities #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

"I hope that people will finally realize that there is only one "race" - the human race - and that we are all members of it" -MA #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

I'm not a big religious person, but I did find the religious aspect of Atwood's novel to be eye opening #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

It's interesting how handmaid's names are the word "of" followed by their commanders first name #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

I love reading books after I watch movies made after them to see all the differences between them. Books are always better #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

I like the how women right about men because it's seems that they do a great job expressing their feelings through situations #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

"It is always incomprehensible I a man that a woman should ever refuse an offer of marriage." - Jane Austen #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

@KJessica_MSU agreed! I think that the book wouldn't have as strong as a message if it weren't for Austen's personal beliefs and perspective

[Madison @mmohn17]

I wonder how pride and prejudice would play out if the women was the one from an upperclass family? #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

I'm excited to see the differences and similarities of how the women authors write about men by the end of the semester #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

I feel when women write about men their writing is much stronger if they have witnessed or personally experienced the situations #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

@caitlinjanetay @KJessica_MSU I would definitely say it depends on the situation. In this weeks case, I'd say socioeconomic. #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

Who has more power in the story: Mrs.Das due to her socioeconomic status or does Mr.Kapasi due to his leverage against Mrs.Das? #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

Most of my empathy is toward Mr. Kapasi, but I also feel sorry for Mr. Das. He believes in a marriage that has been long broken. #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

Maybe the men role in Lorde's poem harms the women role because she looks like her mother? Projects his pain on his children? #womenonmen

[Madison @mmohn17]

I wonder if the authors actually experienced the absence of a father or men figure in their life? #womenonmen
