How can we visually show why something like sqrt(90)=3sqrt(10)? Rewriting square roots can be seen visually!

@ProfessorMarin @LieslMcconchie 100% agree. Also personal opinion I don’t even like using the word trick in math because it’s about understanding why the technique works. I think trick implies there’s magic going on behind the scenes.

Today Algebra 2 ss worked backwards, using multiplication as a vehicle to solving division problems with polynomials. Ss embraced the productive struggle while discovering the relationship between division and factoring. We concluded with a generalization of factoring x^n-1!
