Yes, I love the overall aesthetic, plot, and characters of the OVA (the soundtrack by Yoko Kanno is also amazing), but when you read the manga you do realize so many details are cut out. On top of that it has two sequel manga, but they were never licensed in the US.

En lugar de inventar la típica excusa de estar enfermo o la muerte de un familiar, prefirió ir con la verdad por delante: le confesó todo a su jefe, admitiendo que no le quedaban días libres y que tenía trabajo acumulado, pero que realmente deseaba asistir.

Según relató el propio trabajador, el jefe le autorizó el permiso sin sueldo en apenas medio segundo. Celebró la respuesta y subrayó que era mucho mejor ser honesto que fingir una tragedia y regresar al día siguiente actuando como si nada.

En Japón el consumo real de vacaciones pagadas suele quedar muy por debajo de los días devengados, y el oshikatsu de idols casi nunca se declara ante la jerarquía de oficina.
