We are thrilled to announce that the next MMSYM will take place in Frankfurt and will be organized in collaboration with the ViCom project!
See you in Frankfurt! 👋🏼
Sadly, MMSYM 2023 is over. We have enjoyed all the oral and poster sessions + all the discussions that have arisen.
We would like to thank all the attendants for their participation. It was a pleasure to have all of you here.
Third and final day of #MMSYM2023
We start the day with the oral session about multimodal annotation and corpus. We have presentations by Olcay Türk and colleagues, Beatrice Biancardi et al., Huan Sheng et al., and Ada Ren-Mitchell & Stefanie Shattuck-Hufnagel
Poster session has finished and now we head to the last session about L2 and multimodal pedagogy.
Talks by Solene Inceoglu & Ruri Ueda, Hans Rutger Bosker et al., Erin Minton-Branfoot et al., Valentijn Prové et al., and Eleni Ionna Levantinou & Argiro Vatakis
After the poster session, our day has finished with some amazing wine tasting from @DOCatalunya and an exhibition of the traditional Catalan dance “ball de bastons”
After the coffee break, we have the oral session about multimodal prominence and synchronization. We have talks by Ronny Bujok et al., @larap_ann & Wim Pouw, Lena Pagel et al., @shoakamine1 et al. and @PatrickLRohrer et al.
Pearson & Pouw look at Karnatak music and explore coupling of song (speech) and co-singing gesture. Acceleration and vertical velocity predict pitch increase (F0). #mmsym2023
