Drum roll… the results are in!!!
After weeks of building, community review, hub-level governance and finally, our hackathon finale, the Project GENIUS CATS Hackathon Hub has officially produced its top teams.
The Projects were assessed based on ground truth, regenerative potential, Cardano integration (tech & narrative), and global readiness.
Here are the Top Teams and their Final Scores
🥇 Team Safro — 432
🥈 Team Kurama — 354
🥉 Team AirChain — 315
These teams stood out for building solutions rooted in real community needs, with clear thinking around impact, scalability, and on-chain alignment.
To every team that participated , thank you. Showing up, building, and submitting is not small work. Each project contributed signal, insight, and learning to this ecosystem, and that matters.
Huge congratulations to our winners and deep respect to every team that showed up and built.
Thank you to @cats_summit and@wada_org & @__prismaevents for being with us and supporting this hub’s journey and making this possible.
Decentralization isn’t theory , it’s people gathering to build.
Today’s physical session brought Project Genius community members together to review field notes, validate real problems, and advance the projects already taking shape for the Cardano Africa Hackathon Summit (CATS)@cats_summit.
The energy was authentic, collaborative, and forward-moving.
We felt it in every discussion.
One meetup at a time, the ecosystem grows and and Project Genius is proud to contribute to this journey of innovatio n and community-first problem-solving.

Last night felt like a reminder of why community matters.
At the Zaria Hub CATS Hackathon kickoff, Tobias Fetchner the infastructure lead at @__prismaevents and a facilator at @wada_org didn’t just talk to us ,he opened a new way of seeing.
He spoke about nestedness, the idea that everything is connected and about shifting from chasing problems to recognizing the potential already alive in our environment.
“We try to disrupt our automatic habits and observe reality with fresh eyes… then make choices that grow life.”
This hit differently.
Our co-facilitators Morgan @_sixth_sage and Alfred @sirxalfred then helped our teams understand how to carry these principles into the hackathon.
Together, we explored what it means to form teams around purpose, rooted deeply in the voices of our society.
It felt like a true alignment with the values of Cardano @cats_summit, PRISMA @__prismaevents, and WADA @wada_org:
local insight → community intelligence → regenerative action.
If tonight was the beginning, then the journey ahead is going to be powerful.
Zaria is ready to build differently.
Web3 is change. Cardano is building it .
This moment marks a crucial pivot. Decentralization is meant to drive Systems Change. And real systems change happens when communities , not distant institutions , lead the solutions.
That’s why we at Project Genius are excited to be part of this movement as the Zaria Hub for the Cardano Africa Tech Summit, in collaboration with WADA and Prisma. Together, were opening a space for local builders to contribute to Cardano’s global regenerative vision.
If you’re a builder, researcher, storyteller, or designer, and you believe in community-driven innovation, this is your moment to plug in.
It starts tomorrow.@cats_summit @Cardano_CF @wada_org @Catalyst_onX @Cardano @coc_space
