@SpotOnLee@ZANewsFlash It's you who doesn't understand ,and this mindset is the exact reason why SA is also heading to where Zimbabwe is, we've seen the signs, and we know what's coming .
@MelziPeters@ZANewsFlash Nothing turns on what you just said here. It has always been subject based, and the point still remains, anything below 50% isn't up for consideration under any circumstances in Zim, whereas a 30% can be accepted under certain conditions in SA .
@MelziPeters@ZANewsFlash The point is, there are instances where 30% is considered in SA as a minimum requirement in some subjects, albeit in with other passes in other subjects, that benchmark is 50% in Zim regardless of what explanation has to accompany the SA 30%.
@MelziPeters@ZANewsFlash In whatever way that 30% applies or even 40% for that matter, in Zim it has to be 50%, anything below that is not considered relevant by any institution hence I said it only serves to prove you took the exam and failed.
@MelziPeters@ZANewsFlash The fact that I wasn't bothered with verifying whether it's 30 or 33% is a minute detail of no relevance to the argument, you said we shouldn't compare the grade 12 to A'level, that already defeats your argument as they are both University entry qualifications ie O' level isn't
@MelziPeters@ZANewsFlash Everything you just said was well understood before you explained it, the point is wherever & however the 30% & 40% are relevant, In Zim the mark that applies is the 50% anything below that is irrelevant.
@MelziPeters@ZANewsFlash Point out to me where I claimed superior education. My argument is the pass mark and population comparison of the 2 countries, as to whether the SA pass mark is 30 or 33% doesn't improve your point.
@SonOfThanos223@ZANewsFlash True, definitely not all , some are illiterate some are dumb, some are more educated some are less educated but if you occupy spaces where illiterate people roam you'll see more illiterates, if you occupy spaces frequented by educated people you'll see more educated people.
@SpotOnLee@ZANewsFlash If that's the whole explanation, then i understood it, because that mark is at 50% in Zim still. Anything below 50% on your certificate only serves to show you took the exam and failed. It doesn't get you access to anything except retaking the exam the following year
