@CommodoreBlog It’s a huge misstep in my opinion. I was thinking the next product range would be Amiga centric not a knock off Sony Ericsson flip phone from the mid 90s 🤦🏻♂️
@CommodoreBlog@AmigaReposts@CommodoreKazz@CommodoreLad@nyimski This is what sold the Amiga to me. Saw the rolling demo in a shop and I was blown away by the jump in visuals from the C64. So a few months later I got the Batman pack and bought shadow of the beast with it. Halcyon days of the Amiga.
@CommodoreBlog@AmigaReposts@CommodoreKazz@CommodoreLad@nyimski Moody, broody sequel to the iconic original. Great visuals and sound. Gameplay was brutally tough though. In certain sections if you messed up there was no way other than to restart all over again. Fabulous T Shirt in the sumptuous large box gave it an extra special feel.
@CommodoreBlog@AmigaReposts@CommodoreKazz@CommodoreLad@GeezerD205@nyimski Game was a bit mediocre but the tech behind it was utilised well in subsequent games from Team17 that delivered classics such as Alien Breed | Project X | Superfrog. The title track from Allister Brimble was awesome though 🫡
@MuseumCommodore It was the age of true bangers. The Amiga had some of the greatest soundtracks of all time.
Turrican 1 & 2
Shadow of the beast
Title tracks that were gold standard
Lotus turbo challenge 2
Agony
Project X
Alien Breed
Utopia
The list goes on 👊🏼
@Dizek_J@MuseumCommodore Not just the Amiga 1000 but the Amiga 2000 as well. In fact there was a lot more Amiga connection to the show than one would imagine.
The game over theme from Shadow of the beast 1 and 2 are featured (ep: “contempt of court” and “hostile takeover”)
