After finishing skimming through this thread I’m convinced that fashion people are all crazy. They can literally label the same thing ugly on Tuesday and high fashion on Thursday.
If you simply follow trends and think that everything has to be slim fit, while also wearing business casual, you will wind up with sauceless and possibly even unflattering outfits. Feel more confident about playing around with clothes to find what works for you.
Some people here are bigots, misogynists, and some even show violent tendencies. The only sensible option is to avoid them.
But in no universe are Sunni Muslims on spaces the target of bigotry or
victims of any Desi group.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
You should only criticize your previously held religion. Unless, of course, it happens to be Islam. Then you just shut up. Better yet, criticize Hinduism, Judaism, and Christianity. And people who leave those religions? They should also only criticize those religions, not Islam.👏
@Nazranausufzai Benevolent sexism deserves more attention. It often works in ways we mistake for praise. “Women are peacemakers and avoid confrontation” sounds like a compliment, but it’s benevolent sexism as it flatters women to keep them out of leadership.
Remember when @OsamaChaudharry made this point in Urdu on a Space and some people were so offended they grabbed the mic to lecture him about decency?
Now the same point is being made by white men in English on TV.
Was the issue the point, or who was making it?
