@afalli It's probably for the children, also scheme only runs until 4 years of age, after which every child is expected to be in free education anyway. So this would basically extend free education to every child from age 1 to 4
@BobJanetmager5 @mx__andro@zvvzhe You're right Bob, I've seen the same video and found it strange that people taking on false rage on behalf of other people. In most cases, the true custodians of the culture never mind. Also, initially, appropriatiom referred to profiting at the expense of said culture.
@barbs_nichols @bg_bookclub Surely it depends on your starting point and end goal. Going from retail assistant to property owner with passive income and no pressure to work is life changing. Especially if you're outside of London.
Something got damaged in the Nigerian psyche after 1979. All this self centeredness was amplified by the greed between 1979 and 1983. It got worse in the Babangida years as the guardrails against corruption broke down. It became fashionable to think of yourself first.
I don’t think talking to Nigerians will ever change them, especially when the greater society is already irreversibly damaged.
My thinking is to write off two generations and focus on the future. Nigeria in our time is dead and buried.
