"Great news! Our LTV just jumped from 5 to 75 years."
"How?"
"A customer died. They were with us since '97."
"But... churn is still zero?"
Taps head "Annual contract."
SaaS is just building a small solution once that helps people we'll never meet breathe easier, over and over.
That's the magic. Turning "what if it was easier?" into someone's sigh of relief.
Legit grateful and stressful)) to be in this space.

Most new “AI in healthcare” startups chase hype. Some go the opposite direction.
In dental RCM, we faced broken interoperability, ancient EHRs, and data formats no one wanted to touch. Instead of waiting for the industry to modernize, we built Remit AI to work with the mess. We automated posting, claim data access, and reconciliation inside systems never designed for automation.
No shiny demos. No buzzwords. Just solving the ugliest problem in dentistry and it works.

Our first big SaaS deal happened at a conference in Orlando. After a long day at our booth pitching how our AI automates dental insurance payment posting and handing out swag, my cofounder and I went to grab drinks. A woman at the bar overheard us speaking Russian and started a conversation. We chatted about dental tech and what we were building. A week later, we closed a deal for 108 of her practices. Nothing replaces founder-led sales when you’re still figuring out how to sell.

For dental tech startups, one of the biggest blind spots is not distinguishing between DSOs and single practices.
Large DSOs are run by operators with finance or ops backgrounds — they care about scalability, efficiency, and margins. A 5–10% reduction in manual labor moves the needle.
Single practices are led by clinicians. They feel pain in time, patients, and peace of mind, not in FTE percentages.
Different buyers. Different psychology. Different language.
Know which game you’re playing.

Most B2B SaaS companies ignore the dental industry.
Broken software. Frustrated dentists. Endless manual work.
The real way in isn’t flashy demos or ads. It’s understanding their pain. Solve it simply. Share what you know. Be helpful.
People trust those who care more than they sell. That’s how you build authority.

🔟 Final thought:
Building in dental tech isn’t sexy — until you realize it’s one of the few industries where AI is already saving millions of dollars every month.
