The Princess Royal bangs a drum seven times to signal the start of the next leg of Sir Kevin Sinfield’s seven Ultra Marathons in seven days - his final endurance feat to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease charities. The princess is patron of @mndassoc
Sir Kevin said people sometimes thought it was a ‘fun run’.
‘Fun run is a contradiction
in terms,’ replied the Princess. ‘I can run, but I don’t do it for [fun]…no I’m past that stage.’
‘Well you are welcome
to join us, Sir Kevin said.
The Princess replied: ‘No thank you. I will stick to horses!’
