At the end of April 2022, Haitians are third largest national group requesting asylum in Mexico, after Hondurans and Cubans. In 2021, they were the largest national group.

Two hours later after the caravan started moving, this was the scene at a checkpoint where migration officials usually check for undocumented migrants. Mexico's National Guard intercepted the caravan.
This time, no Haitians were present at the caravan. A Haitian men watching the caravan pass by told me: "Haitians believe in [migration] documents. It's safer" @HaitianTimes_
On April 1, 2022, at around 7 am (Mexico time) a new migrant caravan left Tapachula, Mexico towards Mexico City. Around 400 people took the first steps of what could be a 600miles + (or 1,000 km+) 2-month journey to Mexico City.
