Ok. I can’t believe this just happened. My kid is sitting in a beach chair with his hand casually in the sand, & suddenly goes “oh my god look.” He pulls up a girls wedding band. It says “April 16, 2016 I love you.” This was gone FOREVER until now. Seagrove, Fla…Find this lady!
National Park Service employees and contractors to trying hard to clean the reflecting pool at the Lincoln Memorial. So far the algae seems to be winning. As for the American flag blue paint, it’s starting to peel from the bottom of the pool — a short-lived $14 million paint job.
I feel sick to my stomach waiting around today to see what atrocity Trump has in mind for the people of Iran this evening. It's hard to fathom that our other elected leaders aren't able to check him in any meaningful way. It's really an indictment not just of the electorate but of our whole system of government. We're ruled by a mad king.
The United States has spent EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS fighting and policing in the Middle East. Thousands of our Great Soldiers have died or been badly wounded. Millions of people have died on the other side. GOING INTO THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE WORST DECISION EVER MADE.....
This is sad. I know as a politician these companies are going to spend a billion dollars against me for saying it but 🤷🏽♀️
Pervasive gambling is not good for society. It turns life into a casino, traps people in addiction & debt, surges domestic violence, and fosters manipulation.
Let me offer discussion points on why they decided to bomb Kharg Island.
The administration and military planners likely concluded that it would take weeks, if not months, to secure the Strait of Hormuz. During that time, oil prices could rise to levels that would suffocate the global economy.
This was unacceptable. They are desperate for immediate action. So, they needed a bold, decisive move to force Iran to relent quickly.
Trump was clear. They bombed Iranian military structures on Kharg but left the oil infrastructure unharmed (assuming this is accurate).
Recognizing that this could freak out oil markets, they announced it on Friday evening to give markets 48 hours to digest the news. Trump also made it explicit that oil infrastructure would be next if Iran did not allow ships to pass freely through the Strait of Hormuz.
In football terms, they're throwing a Hail Mary pass now, hoping it works. They don't have any more time on the clock. Oil markets and the world economy cannot wait weeks or months for the military to open the Strait.
Further, I could envision political advisors suggesting that if oil prices are destined to hit $200 without this action, it might as well happen next week, giving six months to bring them down before the midterm elections.
As I've argued in many other posts, Trump cannot simply declare victory and pull out (TACO). That would be worse. It would leave Iran in control of the world's economic jugular, allowing it to punish everyone by permanently holding oil at $200. So, they must force Iran to relent.
Again, these are just the thoughts running through my head as I try to explain to myself why they took this step.
To anyone still gullible enough to fall for scummy media hoaxes: Trump said warmongering neocons love sending your kids to die for wars they would never fight themselves. Liz Cheney is Kamala’s top advisor. Liz wants to invade the whole Middle East. Kamala = WWIII. Trump = Peace.

Their closing message to Indiana: change your maps to artificially benefit the President's political party or 'roads will not be paved' as punishment.
They are openly saying this.
Who would want to live in a country that works like that?
🚨🚨 QUINCY WILSON has officially committed to the University of Maryland.
Quincy Wilson has announced his signing ahead of his senior track and field season. Wilson has had nothing short of a historic career to this point.
He earned an Olympic Gold Medal in the 4x400m Relay at the 2024 Paris Games, and he has run 44.10 over 400m - a U18 World Record. He quickly became a household name after the 2024 Olympic Trials that saw him finish sixth in the 400m.
He will continue his career at the University of Maryland, where he could quickly add an all-time collegiate resume to his growing list of accomplishments.
Congratulations Quincy 👏
When I was 22 years old, I commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and swore an oath to the Constitution. I upheld that oath through flight school, multiple deployments on the USS Midway, 39 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm, test pilot school, four space shuttle flights at NASA, and every day since I retired – which I did after my wife Gabby was shot in the head while serving her constituents.
In combat, I had a missile blow up next to my jet and flew through anti-aircraft fire to drop bombs on enemy targets. At NASA, I launched on a rocket, commanded the space shuttle, and was part of the recovery mission that brought home the bodies of my astronaut classmates who died on Columbia. I did all of this in service to this country that I love and has given me so much.
Secretary Hegseth’s tweet is the first I heard of this. I also saw the President’s posts saying I should be arrested, hanged, and put to death.
If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.
