It’s been a year today since the release of a film I had been waiting for with immense anticipation from the moment it was announced. Of all the film sets I’ve visited without officially working on a project, I spent the most days on this one. A strikingly different character for Mammookka, Gautham sir’s first directorial venture in Malayalam, and a film shaped by many people dear to me, both in front of and behind the camera and there were endless reasons to wait with excitement. I was fortunate enough to spend days on the set of the director I’ve long dreamed of assisting someday, watching him so near directing the Mega Star. I genuinely wished for Dominic to return as a continuation of this film. I had also hoped for a stronger box-office performance for this movie. Had that happened, it might have paved the way not only for Dominic’s return but also for another long-awaited film that has remained in the shadows. That hope may have dimmed, but the belief remains strong that once all the issues are resolved, we’ll finally get to see that film very soon! #DominicAndTheLadiesPurse #Mammootty #GVM #MammoottyKampany
