US MARSHALS TRACK DOWN ASSAULT ON POLICE SUSPECT FROM NEVADA AT FORESTVILLE 🚨
US Marshals took an adult male into custody this afternoon inside of the Forestville Mall after an extensive search and apprehension in Prince George’s County.
DC Police’s FALCON 🚁 had spotted the felony vehicle— blue Chevy Malibu with Maryland tags— in Washington DC. At that point, the driver of the car entered Maryland and parked in front of the JC Penney’s on Donnell Drive in Forestville.
After coordination between US Marshals, US Park Police, and Prince George’s County Police, the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The charges from Nevada are reported to be part of a “full extradition” warrant.

#teamHCSO’s Internet Predator Unit and Sexual Predator Unit arrested James Da Costa, 43, on May 20, 2026, following an investigation into child sexual abuse material being downloaded through the Dark Web.
During the investigation, detectives discovered hundreds of files containing child sexual abuse material, along with 85 videos of bestiality, on devices belonging to Da Costa.
“These are sickening crimes that have no place in our community,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We will do everything in our power to make sure predators like this are taken off our streets and held accountable.”
ANACOSTIA DOG ROBBERY: The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in locating a dog taken during a robbery in Southeast.
On Tuesday, May 20, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a suspect approached the victim and snatched the dog’s leash from the victim at the intersection of 14th and T Street, Southeast. The suspect then fled on foot with the dog. The victim was not injured.

Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported fight with shots fired at approximately 9:09 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, in the area of Franklin Road and Saratoga Drive in Lexington Park.
During the investigation, deputies located a 2016 Hyundai Sonata with a flat front passenger-side tire. The vehicle also had damage to the hood consistent with being struck by a projectile. The driver of the Hyundai was identified as Shayonna Renee Miles, 24, of Lexington Park.
Deputies also located video surveillance from the area that appeared to show the Hyundai entering Franklin Road, where the occupants of the vehicle became involved in a physical altercation with multiple individuals. Following the altercation, the driver and occupant returned to the vehicle, and the driver attempted to strike people near the intersection of Franklin Road and Louden Lane. The Hyundai was seen following the group into the driveway of a residence and appearing to strike them. The suspect then backed up and drove into the driveway an additional time, again appearing to strike the victims.
A witness told deputies he suffered injuries after being struck by the Hyundai.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division assumed the investigation. Based on the investigation, Miles was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, where she was charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

AFTERMATH PHOTOS SHOW VEHICLE STRUCK MULTIPLE TIMES IN DISTRICT HEIGHTS SHOOTING
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — New photos obtained by KILLMOENEWS show the aftermath of Thursday night’s shooting in the 6600 block of Hill Mar Drive in District Heights.
The images show a parked blue vehicle riddled with gunfire, with approximately 12 bullet holes visible throughout the windshield, roofline, interior, and driver-side area.
Investigators previously responded to the scene after reports of gunfire and recovered multiple shell casings in the roadway.
🚓 Despite the heavy gunfire, no injuries were reported.
