@SR4life1981 @davelj25 The Legion All Stars were set up to serve both Legion players AND American Legion Baseball. Legion coaches nominate and send players. Running an independent all-star event would be an entirely different situation. Who will send all star players to a generic event?"

Its offcial. The Minnesota Legion Board - its Officers issued orders that effectively kill the Legion Prpospect All Star program for 2025. All Stars quickly grew min popularity gong from 3 teams and 40 players to 11 teams and 160 players. More info at https://t.co/OkGCpBD3Kj

@SR4life1981 @davelj25 The idea for additional competitive playing options originated with Legion coaches. They felt it better to hold more kids in a Legion activity on weekends than have them leaving Legion for club tourneys. Which they are.

@davelj25 Dave please go to the Development topic in the Blog topic. The Weekend area all stars was to SUPPORT coaches with an enhanced competition tool - if they chose. It was not to become a 'club" at all. We set up a Pilot Group to then make a Proposal to the Board.
