@Dfcain I love seeing them out watching! You have great kids and hopefully all of their teachers are understanding! I know I extend grace during this time as this is such a trying time! Thankful for your family and your support!
It takes a lot, but we will all be better off if we accept people where they are.
It may not be where we think they should be, or where we may want them to be, but we all start somewhere.
Instead of finding fault or placing blame for why someone is where they are, help them.
@SteeleThoughts Agreed. I forget things sometimes and while I don’t save my kids every time, I do my best to accommodate the things I can. I’m a teacher and sometimes I need saving. I’ve had to call for people to bring me forgotten items before. I try to handle it all with grace and guidance.
@RobotMakerGirl Hanging small anchor charts (or vocabulary) for students to reference as a review in the classroom. They could even be hung both directions.
Someone you will encounter today will be struggling. They may have had a rough night, morning, or simply woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
See past their struggles because nobody goes out with the intent to have a bad day.
Give someone the benefit of the doubt today.
Teachers, please don't do these 5 things this year:
* take away recess as a punishment
* use silent lunch on whole group
* make students go more than an 1- 1 1/2 hr without a break
or physical activity
* take students misbehavior personally
* give up on your students
