Sexual Battery Investigation; Case #KPD-24-02225

On May 21, 2024 officers from the Kokomo Police Department took a report of a sexual battery that occurred in the parking lot of Target (1037 S. Reed Road) on May 20, 2024 between 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., after the store had closed. During subsequent investigation, an individual was located on surveillance video in the lot matching the description given by the victim. At this time, we are requesting help in attempting to identify the individual in the still photo obtained from the video. Investigators were told the subject was driving a dark colored Buick, unknown model.

This case remains under investigation. Anyone witnessing the accident or having additional information is asked to contact Brent Wines at 765-456-7342. You may qualify for a cash reward by calling Central Indiana Crime Stoppers at 1-800-262-TIPS with your anonymous tip. You can always report tips anonymously by downloading the “Kokomo PD” mobile app from the IOS or Google Play stores. You can also text a tip to the Kokomo Police Department by texting TIPKPD, then a space, and then your tip, and send it to 847411.

Remember all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On Saturday, around noon, the suspect entered an unlocked 4-door, Ford work truck. Inside, he took a bag containing the victim's book bag that contained a FL ID, credit cards, and a passport.
