Going to court doesn’t enhance co-parenting; it punishes a parent.
It places your family in a system where all your resources are directed at 'winning' against your co-parent. At the expense of what's most important: your child's present and future health.

Yet the @mnbar contends that there would be more not less family law cases.. Just doesn't come true in reality.
If you care about children and families, not attorneys billable hours, please support a rebutable presumption of equal shared parenting!
One year after AR passed #Act604, the family law firm of Hodge Calhoun Giattina (who unscrupulously attacked my fitness as a dad and motivated me to join the shared parenting movement) has disbanded and their lawyers are now filing slip and fall cases. #5050custody#arlaw#arpx
When you go to court, no one can guarantee the outcome or how much you'll pay for it! On the other hand, in mediation, you control the outcome and the cost.

I received this video of the chaos last night in downtown Minneapolis.
Today the council member who reps the area, Michael Rainville, told me National Guard should be requested until MPD is fully staffed. Mayor Jacob Frey’s office says they won’t be doing that at this time

“America has spent about 60 years exhausting the alternatives to fatherhood — and the collateral damage is all around us.
Broken families. Gutted communities. Betrayed women. Terrified children. Busy morgues. And overflowing prisons.”

@BradSchaeppi@mnbar@NatlParentsOrg Yes time to get rid of the attorney drafted, conflict causing 25% parenting time presumption and replace it with one of equality, a rebuttable presumption of equal shared parenting.
place the needs of children, above the needs of the attorneys.

Happy Belated #fathersday! Many separated/divorced fathers w/ kids in MN want nothing more but to spend more time w/kids, but legally cannot due to MN state law & @mnbar. 50/50 is law in other states--VOTE in 2022 for candidates to help in 2023. @mnsharedparent1@NatlParentsOrg

Yes.. It's time for Minnesota family courts to put the needs of a child in front of the needs of an attorney.
Start both parents at an equal place, 50/50 custody in family court, a rebuttable presumption of equal shared parenting.. replace the conflict causing 25% presumption.

On this Father’s Day, although you aren’t physically here with me today, know Nick and Chloe, how proud I am of the fiercely independent adults you have become. I couldn’t have made it these last 4 years without you. I will always believe in you. Love Dad
