Karl Marx & Frederick Douglass were both born in 1818. Marx grew up in comfort, Douglass in chains. Marx thought the world owed him more comfort; Douglass only demanded liberty, & he'd do the rest.

Chief Edwards, Chief of Manhattan North, going over the barricade in pursuit of Emir Balat, suspected Manhattan ISIS bomber. A two-star still chasing perps. That’s a cop.
for years, society was limited to only 16 syrup squares per waffle but with recent combinatorial optimization breakthroughs our research department has achieved previously unheard of densities of waffle syrup
Ser Charles: I been a knight for ten and eight summers and I ain’t never heard of no trial of seven that needed a Kingsguard presence! A kings-guard presence!
Lord Shaq: *cracking up* I’m the prince of Westeros and a Hedge Knight comin’ to beat me up.

@HasanKhxnx I am not suicidal. I eat healthy food. The brakes on my car and truck are in good shape. I practice good trigger discipline and never point a gun at anyone, including myself. There are no deep pools of water on my farm and I’m a pretty good swimmer.

The thing that has most disheartened me in these recent arguments over ICE is how both sides exaggerate and/or leave out key details, to make their team obviously in the right. But when I RT'd a @MattWalshBlog tweet and tried to show why I thought he was dangerously wrong, I took a rhetorical shortcut (without intending to), that made my zinger all the more zingy. Some of Walsh's fans pointed that out, so I took down my tweet.
However, it had gotten some good traction already from the people who liked its spirit, and so I saw firsthand the temptations to grease the rhetorical wheels.
The father of seven has not finished a thought in four years. he is just moving. feeding. driving. wiping. his brain is soup and his back is finished and he has no opinions about civilization he is too tired for opinions. and meanwhile civilization is growing out of him like he is dirt and he doesnt even notice because there is milk on the floor again. the childfree man has read eleven books this year about the decline of the west and he is the decline and the books are the evidence and he will understand this at fifty eight in a room that is very clean and very quiet
