For Black and African writers and creators who feel trapped by the white gaze, this is for you.
Watch the iconic Senegalese filmmaker Ousmane Sembéne brilliantly rebuff a question about how his films were received in Europe.
Cairo City removed a mural depicting Pharaoh Tutankhamun and Queen Neferti ahead of the arrival of Chinese President Xi Jingping on September 1, following criticism that their skin looked too dark 1/2

Their bigger beef was that the depictions perpetuated an “Afrocentric” view asserting that the ancient Egyptian civilisation was of Black African origins 2/2
After losing control of the Sahel, it has been downhill for France! The French had been looting Gold from Burkina Faso and Mali. They were looting Uranium from Niger! The honeymoon is Over!
France doesn’t seem to realize that it is no longer an 18th century world power. Since 1963, it has organised the killing of 22 African presidents. Those nations stood up & fought back, took hold of their resources. Now its trying to fix its image but its too late.
Anyone still remember when South Africa built a welfare state to save Whites from competing with Africans in the job market?
Yep! For decades they paid unskilled Whites skilled wages to give them decent lives while systematically locking Africans out of jobs. Meritocracy much?
📌BRICS: India Out, Indonesia In
#India's BRICS membership is reportedly on the verge of being revoked, with Indonesia poised to take its place.
#BRICS aimed to reform global financial institutions, promote multilateralism, and foster a balanced international order.
However, India has undermined these goals. It opposed a common BRICS currency to replace dollar hegemony and aligned with the US in #QUAD to counter #China, a BRICS member. India abandoned defense ties with Russia in favor of the US.
India’s duplicity is now exposed, and it faces "reward" for its subversion.
Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley has called for the complete abolition of visa requirements between African and Caribbean nations, urging for unrestricted movement among their people.
Speaking on the deep historical, cultural, and economic ties between the two regions, she emphasized that it is unjust for citizens of Africa and the Caribbean to face barriers when visiting each other, especially given their shared ancestry and struggles.
Mottley stressed that free movement is essential for strengthening trade, collaboration, and unity among the descendants of those who endured colonization and slavery, and she called on leaders to act decisively to remove these outdated restrictions.

“Africans don’t trust us”.- Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy 🇮🇹. Why will we trust people who don’t want us to thrive, instead they want to loot our resources.
@Joe__Bassey That race doesn't have, has never had, will never have our interest at heart.
If their countries are so great, why don't they stay in them? They bring nothing but ruin and misery.
@Joe__Bassey They still want us to trust them after all what their ancestors did to our ancestors, and they continue to do the same to us? We are not fools even though they have succeeded in indoctrinating some of us into believing that we are one of them. Trust is earned, not bought.
Hayes: Do you think holocaust education in our schools is a DEI program? There is no card for that. It’s just yes or no.
McMahon: I can look at whatever card I choose.
