And there’s a pretty good chance he helped develop, mentor, or train your current head coach, too.
The truth is, many people aren’t upset because of what Nick Saban said.
They’re upset because of what Nick Saban did.
For 17 years, he dominated college football, beat their favorite teams, won championships, and built a standard of excellence that will never be matched again.
Whether you agree with him or not, few people have earned the right to speak on the future of college athletics more than Nick Saban.
"Will continues to wreck practice. I may have to hold him out soon, because we *actually* have to be able to practice."
- DeMeco Ryans with HUGE praise for former Bama star Will Anderson, who is officially one of the elite defensive players in the NFL😤
Americans cheering on Americans they disagree with, is quintessentially American.
We don’t live under communism where everyone has to agree.
We live in a country that protects the personal liberty of every citizen.
May we never take it for granted!
It was predictable that the BIG 10 would be more competitive in this era of college football. Larger alumni bases and more billionaire funders tilt the economic balance in their favor.
The reasons for past SEC dominance are unchanged. There is still more talent ( check NFL rosters) in the Southeast and a more intense football culture from Pop Warner through college.
The difference is that the largest coffers reside elsewhere and most independent contractors (players) will accept positions in places where they are most compensated.
*There’s a lazy narrative that SEC programs have been playing players millions and now everyone else can too. Incorrect and dishonest
“Everybody would just remember me as the guy who took all this money and went to Miami or Tennessee for his last year. But I was a captain. I put my hand and footprints in the cement at Denny Chimes. I would have lost everything that I built at Alabama.” — Ty Simpson
Last of a dying breed. Truly an Alabama guy through and through and will always be remembered as such.
In today’s CFB players don’t turn down 6.5 million to not transfer. Ty did🐘
In hindsight, the numbers Alabama players put up in the NFL last year were INSANE.
🐘 Most Rush Yards by RBs in a single season EVER
🐘 3rd most Receiving Yards by WRs in a single season EVER
We'll never see something like that again. Saban's legacy
