@ThatJuDaH@ADUOLUWATOPE You probably haven’t seen the portfolios of those who operates his conglomerates
You might want to take a peek…
If there is one thing Aliko invested so much into it is the capacity of his skilled labor force.
@gentlemanway007@ngxgrp@CSCSNigeria It is not the NGX Or CSCS that gets to decides that…
It is the issuer (company) that and its registrar that decides that… alongside SEC’s approval
I believe you’re referring to the refinery…
they stated that it will be electronically done
@nazzaokonkwo I don’t think they are unified so to speak
but rather linked together as your holdings
I think the holdings of a CHN can only be view from an institutional side….
Just like NIBSS can access all account under 1 BVN
@benawoks Ben and bet on his convictions 5&6 😂
With an anticipation of over 100% in oversubscription I don’t see it coming close to N525 within the next 365 days
But once the lien on private placement is removed I anticipate a massive sell off
@adekoyaoyinda@nazzaokonkwo In real sense it is relative,
There is no one size fit all in business financing….
The type and circumstances of the business determines what type of financing will work best.
Debt is best if the interest rate is low while equity if you get to retain more of your earnings.
Q2 2026 Nigerian GDP
Still the same, the same. Not impressed.
Services (telcos and financial services) are still doing a lot of heavy lifting.
Manufacturing grew by 3.2% y/y, mainly driven by cement manufacturing (which grew 12.8% y/y). Food and beverage manufacturing only grew by 2.8% y/y.
Trade also posted sub-2% y/y growth.
The road to proper employment is still somewhat long.
Nonetheless, the bright spots are oil refining GDP growth (+43.9% y/y) and oil production (+7.3% y/y).
The Nigerian Equities Market in August 2026
✑ Although the market delivered a very strong performance on the final trading day, it declined by 0.4% for the month. It was mostly red throughout the month.
✑ However, the telcos and banks did relatively better. The oil & gas sector also closed marginally in the green, thanks to a late Seplat surge.
✑ The insurance and consumer lads were underwhelming, and the performance meant that the consumer goods sector joined the list of "red" remark.
✑ The average daily transaction value was ₦61.3bn in August 2026, 17% lower than ₦72.9bn in July 2026. This confirms the rather weak momentum during the month.
✑ As of August 2026, the NGX market cap stood at ₦157trn. Meanwhile, the combined profit of the listed companies is projected to be ₦14trn-₦15trn. This puts the NGX forward P/E at 10x-11x, just about its fair value.
✑ On a year-to-date basis, the NGX remains positive at +57% ytd.
It's the seventh consecutive year of "green". The NGX did:
---> +51% in 2025
---> +38% in 2024
---> +46% in 2023
---> +20% in 2022
---> +6% in 2021
---> +50% in 2020
✑ Hoping for a stronger September 2026.
Financial freedom isn’t a dream. It’s a decision backed by knowledge, discipline and action.
I had the privilege of delivering a keynote at the Industrialist Seminar on “Unlocking Financial Freedom” sharing practical insights on building wealth, making smarter financial decisions, and creating lasting value.
Here’s a glimpse from the session. 🚀
@ADUOLUWATOPE In a cline like Nigeria where we’re so in depth with instant gratification and classism
Having a clear understanding and practicalizing delayed gratification is of the utmost importance….
Cheers @ADUOLUWATOPE
Keep up the good work chief 🙌🏽
@B_I_G_F@compoundinnaira The question is so legit !
What is the % participation of Gen Z in the market to have such imapct as changing the manner of reading the market
When I started out I tried looking at the market the way it is done in the west
Soon reality dawned on me
This is Nigeria!
Come time for retirement, so many will realize they have nothing saved up. How could they? Instead of funding retirements accounts, we are funding subscriptions.
Streaming subscriptions like AppleOne, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+Hulu, HBOMax, Peacock etc
Food delivery subscriptions like UberOne, DashPass etc.
Current generation will be the poorest generation in retirement guaranteed.
@CallhimF@shimataver@TomolaGroup One of my brothers use to work in VI and lives in Idimu….
He leaves office by 5, would sleep bout 2hrs in traffic, Alight along the line to eat dinner in a buka and join the bus back and still get home by 9:30pm
This was years ago though, but it is still so funny to remember
