In Kampala, Lagos, Nairobi, Durban… companies that took you in for free took a risk on you. Most interns never even thank them.
Understand this... most careers weren't built by salaries. They were built by access. The office keys opened more doors than the payslip ever did.
My firstborn son, Omari, graduated high school. This young man saved my life and is building a legacy of his own. I'm proud of you, son. I love you ❤️🦁
You will get to a point in your career where your number 1 agenda is to invest money and effort in building relationships. You’d get to a crossroad at 10.30pm on a weekend and pick up your phone to call a work buddy, and they’ll pick up, sit with you and help you get through it.
If this sounds odd, it’s not for you.

This is not cliche.
Find your grounds of conviction and attach yourself firmly to it.
Especially if you are building a personal or business brand.
Before you create one more piece of content and put your thoughts out, ask: What am I trying to achieve with this?
Does this move me closer to my ultimate goals?
On days when you are losing steam, just remembering why you’ve put yourself out there will give you enough jolts of energy to keep going.
