After decades filming oceans around the world, I somehow ended up pouring that same obsession into an offshore sailboat.

What started as a classic Doug Peterson design platform slowly evolved into something far more refined, modernized, and capable than I originally intended.

Now she’s quietly for sale while cruising in the Caribbean after a major refit and a solid chapter of life aboard.

What’s surprised me most is how many experienced sailors respond emotionally to the boat — not just the specs.

Maybe some boats eventually become more than objects.
