@AySashaa Ground Zero the indie survival horror? Man I rrally wish I liked it more. It was certainly cool, I especially like the branching paths, but the critical shot mechanic ruined alot of the challenge to me.
@clive______@NightmarEclipse@pettanplanet By far some of the most annoying parts of the silent hill Fandom. I love sh2 og, but these claims just ignore that they were chasing graphical fidelity but this was just how shit looked on the ps2
@JaeGamez Certainly one of the best. My personal favorite is the first HK, even though i do think Silksong does alot to improve it. I also havent played that many metroidvanias to be fair
@navyhato The real answer i think is mostly trying to have too big of a scope. SH3 is a small and focused game with only a handful of characters. Starefield has 5 billion generated NPCs etc etc. Its why in general I prefer small focused games over big open stuff. (There is exceptions)
@LoxleyLockwood@Chur_ro Even still there is still the ghosts of Umbrella as part of the story. In the og 4 and especially in the remake of 4.
I can understand wanting something more about destroying umbrella in re4 instead of focusing on something new, but the new thing did work
@LoxleyLockwood@Chur_ro Holy shit. Dude, a huge part of Jurassic Park is about 3rd parties trying to steal their work for their benefit are you stupid.
Beyond that, pretending re4 wasnt still a horror game, despite all of its action stuff is disingenuous especially in a series with "master of unlocking
@LoxleyLockwood@Chur_ro They shouldn't be ONLY tied down to just Umbrella plotline although it would have been nice to see something between CV and 4. 4 helps with general worldbuilding. I have also played every game in the series outside of a couple weird ones like umbrella corps and gaiden
@LoxleyLockwood@Chur_ro No I am fine with people not liking re4. Just have logical reasons. Re4 was anything but generic. Re4 still had plenty of horror elements. What it lacked was survival horror inventory management, but then again that is also lacked by silent hill
