1. Independent generation facility under construction*
Schneider Electric + Eko Utilities Nigeria Limited are building an independent electricity generation facility specifically for the city.
Capacity: Starts at 11kV, designed to scale up to 132kV
Goal: 99% electricity availability for businesses + residents
Purpose: Power critical stuff like malls, data centres, banks, schools cbad

This is part of making Eko Atlantic “self-sufficient and resilient” cbad

2. Connection to national grid too*
TCN is also setting up to supply Eko Atlantic directly from the national grid under the “Eligible Customer” arrangement.
Plan: Start with ∼300MW,scale gradually to 1,000MW-
TCN will build a 330kV double circuit line from Lekki to the city 605f

BREAKING: Nigeria Slashes Africa Cargo Costs by 80% in New RwandAir Deal — Exporters Set for Massive Trade Boom❤️🇳🇬

Nigeria has expanded its AfCFTA implementation with a major partnership between the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment and RwandAir to strengthen the Nigeria–East and Southern Africa Air Cargo Corridor.

The new deal will give Nigerian exporters faster and cheaper access to major African markets including Kigali, Harare, Lusaka, Nairobi and Johannesburg, with cargo costs crashing from as high as $10/kg to below $2/kg.

Building on the 2025 partnership with Uganda Airlines, the initiative is expected to boost Nigeria’s non-oil exports and strengthen sectors like agribusiness, fashion, cosmetics, processed foods and light manufacturing across Africa.
