@steppedenizen Altho where I am has now grown into suburbia - most homes built w/in the last 40 years aren't suitable for multi-generations-but they should be. I am glad tho that we don't have open concept now that we have kids & my Mom with us all at once - everyone needs a bit of space.

@decoy_oct @Kasekisai_T We got a midrange Cuckoo for around $100 in 2020. I made steel cut oatmeal overnight in winter, risotto, congee, yogurt, soup, and have steamed my fish & veggies with my rice before making a complete meal. Not to mention perfect rice every time. Any variety or rice.

@seedyoulater Yes! I have a 4.5 meter tall blueberry tree. In summer - I can get about a gallon 3 days or so. Once washed and fully dried on a towel - they freeze well, but can also be dehydrated for longer storage. Pie, syrup, in salad or with yogurt- so many ways to eat them!

For 4 solid days my feed was nothing but beautiful photos, pandas, & dogs. Better than doomscrolling. I've even taken a few bad pictures since.

Earlier today, I was sat in a pub, scrolling through here and only seeing posts about doom and gloom. Posts that made me angry. So, I decided to change my approach. I scrolled and scrolled. I didn’t stop to read any post. I just scrolled until I saw a pretty photo and pressed like. Then scrolled more and saw another photo I liked and pressed the heart button. After a while of this, my feed became full of pretty pictures. If you carry on doing the same thing, you’ll get the same results, so sometimes it’s good to try something different. Anyway, here’s my photo of the Houses of Parliament and a sunset I took some time ago, with the most beautiful lamppost on Westminster Bridge. I hope you might pause and press the like button as you doom scroll through here and who knows; it might brighten your day and your timeline.
