How is one supposed to make sense of this?
The world in Malaysia seems to be upside down, and I keep staring at it as if some piece of the picture is missing.
There are people, it appears, who feel no shame in taking a 30 percent share by force, without having worked for it. We are talking about small businesses. Many tuition centres are one-person proprietorships. And yet a business chamber thinks it is acceptable to compel someone to hand over 30 percent of their business- simply because of race. They speak often of justice and fairness in their religion. So how, then, is it also acceptable to force a person to surrender 30 percent?
I cannot quite fit the two together.
In most countries this would be a moral outrage.
In Malaysia it is treated as normal and even encouraged. Racism is alive here, and it seems to grow more ordinary by the day.
Is there a solution? I cannot see one. A whole generation appears to believe it is fine to grab whatever they want in the name of racial supremacy under the pretext of public policy.
What puzzles me most is this: not a single religious leader or political leader has come forward to say that this is wrong, that this is pure racism.
The right wing calls me the racist for even raising the matter. How does that work? Those who point out racism are accused of being the racists, while the ones practising it are branded race nationalists. Is this not an upside down country?

Why invest in a country when it treats you & your future children like second class citizens anyway.
There’s no incentive to have kids in the modern era, when the govt is hyperfixated on spending billions on subsidies to please the masses for short term gains.
Coz cost of education for Non Malay children is high - middle class parents start factoring lack of access to public Uni due to 90% quota for Malays
A foundation + degree today for a non Malay child starts at RM40000
Like I said kids learn about systemic racism at 18
The Ministry of Education responded
if I understand correctly:
• they claimed it is based on the 2006 policy book
• they said education must stay “open to all”
• so open that the ministry now needs Cabinet next week to decide whether its own guideline still applies
the conclusion is that there is no conclusion yet
🇲🇾 Tuition centre business owners in Malaysia need to find bumiputera partners and give them 30% equity for them by 2027
otherwise they may have problem with their license renewal onwards
