@NKR_II@Yakovolf sure. I appreciate him trying to demonstrate that christians have been cancel-y in the past but to say it's fundamentally christian is misleading.
peace brother
@knish_of_death Why? Fear of rocking the boat? or do you believe it belongs there? Absent any potential negative reaction do you believe it should be there or not
@NKR_II@Yakovolf thats true. im not saying theres a perfect parallel but to say canceling IS christian to me seems fundamentally misleading especially considering the community @Yakovolf is part of which IS more insular and more conducive to "canceling" than other jewish communities
No to the groypers.
No to cowards like Tucker Carlson, who normalize their trash.
No to those who champion them.ย
No to demoralization.
No to bigotry and anti-meritocratic horseshit.
No to anti-Americanism.
No.
@ChrisFitzMelb@History__Speaks says who? whats the number that is proportionate? is it 1 family member? what if theyre somewhat more senior 2 people? its all arbitrary
@greyroser@History__Speaks I said in my tweets that everything im saying is assuming they are in fact combatants. If theyre non combatants then of course the strike is unlawful. I was trying to discuss the bombing houses aspect of the situation

@History__Speaks Is there hard and fast guidelines for proportionality that you say bombing a junior militant in his house (assuming they really are combatants, not non combatants) is a major factor in you deciding this is a genocide. What are the rules?
@greyroser@History__Speaks if not on active duty they are not combatants. by that logic any in gaza might become a combatant if they decide to take up arms.
I dont take issue with some number of 10/7 casualties being legitimate targets. even if 100% of them were legit Israel would still respond militarily
@greyroser@History__Speaks Soldiers are always fair targets. Any soldiers killed were fair game.
Many Israeli hostages and murders were in fact civilians though
