Want to register as an Amazon South Africa Seller?

What you need: pass and puff

1. Identification (physically must be there, not a copy, read on you will understand why)

2. Bank statements - they don't specify term, I did 3 months!

3. If you are registering under a business have your Business reg number ready and doc.

4. Now, once you indicate what entity you are. You then fill out your information as usual.

5. Make sure all info is correct-important

6. Then you will have two options, to UPLOAD A NEW PIC of your identification or start a video call.

7. I suggest you do the video call. You get through to an actual person who checks your identity and if you made a mistake is able to tell you immediately that there is an error.

In my case I had missed a zero on my identification and was able to rectify immediately.

8. He/she/they will make you flip you identity book in all angles to make sure is a valid document not a copy.(That's why I say you must have it there)

9. Then boom, once done you get an email. They tell you 48 hours later you are IN! You can sell on Amazon.

NOTE : It costs R499pm to sell on Amazon SOUTH AFRICA, and $39 to sell across portals (other countries).

BUT - it will cost you R1 pm to sell on Amazon SOUTH AFRICA until December 2024.

@SizweMpofuWalsh Rubbish analysis. Any private person is entitled to report a crime in their private residence, and a state resources are used to investigate that particular crime even though it happened in their private residence. I thought that was a basic function of police.
