ModernDeck 💙💛

The beautiful, powerful Twitter client for desktop. Built on the power of TweetDeck, but more beautiful, full-featured, and customizable. 💙💛

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@SaiMle Are you using an up-to-date Chrome version? ModernDeck 10.0 uses Manifest V3

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@yurikaa202301 ModernDeck will continue to work (once Twitter fixes their API issues today) until Twitter shuts down TweetDeck legacy, which ModernDeck is based on.

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

I love you all and I'll miss you.

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

Due to Twitter changes and their hostility to their developers and their users, feature development on ModernDeck has ceased after over 8 years of development. I hope you found ModernDeck useful over the years. I'm sorry it's had to end like this 😢 https://t.co/lho2eUu3bv

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

Also FYI Twitter is experiencing API issues at the moment, which is preventing TweetDeck in general from working. So you'll have to wait on whoever is still working at Twitter to fix it...

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

If you're experiencing issues with launching ModernDeck or logging in after Twitter's changes today, try manually upgrading

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@Roykirk Currently, Twitter is experiencing an outage out of my control. Once Twitter fixes their API, it will work.

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@tomosakata It's unfortunate the situation Twitter is in right now. I have at least put out the last major version that I have worked on for some time. I hope you found ModernDeck useful.

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@gilbertstraigh1 Hi, sorry for the delay, is this issue still occurring?

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

No current plans to support Twitter Blue verified checkmarks. Immediately after being released, they are already being widely abused to impersonate legitimate companies and celebrities.

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@Sebianoti I like this idea https://t.co/VokrMrDN4N

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@RyderCragie Because the account blew up, and Twitter eventually spotted it. Accounts that are spamming replies with scams are not going to receive as much attention and likely will not be taken down so quickly.

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@TheUncleMez ModernDeck is based off of TweetDeck, so it will come if Twitter brings this functionality to it. However, I'm not entirely sure they will as they are working on their new React version of TweetDeck that is incompatible with ModernDeck.

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@ElMandjo This occurs if your Twitter account has activated TweetDeck Preview, which a future version of ModernDeck will prevent from happening. If you try opting out of TweetDeck Preview on a browser or another device, it should hopefully work.

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@Jacob_Garza_ @lunarequest This occurs if your Twitter account has activated TweetDeck Preview, which a future version of ModernDeck will prevent from happening. If you try opting out of TweetDeck Preview on another device, it should hopefully work.

ModernDeck working on Steam Deck 👀

Thank you and everyone else who’s getting software working on Steam Deck and @lunarequest for maintaining the Flatpak version of ModernDeck!

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@newviv If the icon looks like a stack, that's the clear button, it clears the tweets in the column. I should definitely add some tooltips and maybe a tutorial to help make this more discoverable

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@TheUncleMez It's something I would like to add at some point, but I've been a bit busy with other stuff lately

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@TheUncleMez Hm, killing and restarting ModernDeck should fix that?

If you can reproduce this issue please do let me know!

[ModernDeck 💙💛 @ModernDeck]

@TheUncleMez Yep, this update would have been published to Flathub earlier but they were making some big changes to flatpak-node that borked its build process. Thankfully it’s been resolved now.
