5/ I didn’t really know what to do with these thoughts.
So I’m leaving them here, hoping they’ll dissolve into the liquidity of modernity too.
Maybe that’s what contemporary art is supposed to do.
Not explain the world.
Just make you recognize yourself in it.
1/ Yesterday I visited MoMA for the first time.
I never cared much for contemporary art. I didn’t think I’d end up reflecting on love, loneliness, and even myself through it. But something about its refusal to conform finally reached me.
Two paintings left me speechless.
4/ I saw a heart trying to keep itself together.
Threads stretching across an abyss. Resonances searching for an echo that exists only in memory. A fragile architecture held together by hope alone.
I’ve never seen love depicted this way.
So painfully.
And yet, so beautifully.
