Christ rallies us in today’s Gospel, like He rallied Francis from the crucifix. The time for holiness is now. https://t.co/cCADGoInpS via @to_the_heights
You may feel beat down, weak and the enemy coming at you. One: you are not alone. Two: you are not weak, don’t believe the lie. God has made you strong! Three: if you need to start over that’s ok, go to confession! Today, show up to your own fight and you will come out stronger.
God rarely calls us to what we are comfortable with.
Before you tell God, “I can’t...” realize His response will likely be, “Yes, but I can through you.”
You were made for greatness.
When St. Perpetua was thrown into the air by a savage bull in the amphitheatre at Carthage her first thought and action when she fell to the ground was to rearrange her dress to cover her thigh because she was more concerned for modesty than pain.
- Pope Pius XII

If you don't behave as you believe, you will end by believing as you behave.
-Venerable Fulton Sheen
Be careful how you dress, it has more power over you than you realize.

He knows your name. He knew it before you were hidden in your mother’s womb. He whispers it in hopes that you might turn your face to Him. It is not a general calling to all of creation. It is an intimate whispering of your name.

How does this related to modesty?
We are called to love one another; to love all.
If loving someone is choosing what's good for their soul, how is dressing to flaunt your body--thereby possibly leading them to sin--loving them?
Is it hard? Yes. Love anyway.

Love isn't just a feeling.
It's a choice.
When the emotion fades, that's when you choose.
The harder the choice, the more you love.
It's choosing the good of someone else. It's putting their needs before your own. It's choosing what's good for their soul.
