President Ramaphosa Announces Cabinet Changes:

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced changes to the National Executive following consultations with the Democratic Alliance as part of the Government of National Unity (GNU).

The appointments include:
•Willem Aucamp as Minister of Agriculture.
•David Maynier as Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment.
•Dina Pule as Minister of Social Development.

New Deputy Ministers appointed are:
•John Steenhuisen – Trade, Industry and Competition.
•Alexandra Abrahams – Electricity and Energy.
•Jack Bloom – Water and Sanitation.
•Yusuf Cassim – Higher Education.

The changes affect the Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Trade, Industry and Competition, Electricity and Energy, Higher Education, Water and Sanitation, and Social Development portfolios.

President Ramaphosa wished the newly appointed Ministers and Deputy Ministers well in their new roles.

Steenhuisen is now Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry.
