fara’s work can be found here, really recommend checking out her other webgl/css/shader work too https://t.co/xZWKPnUtIs

more fast e-ink! here’s @farayofsun’s beautiful dappled sun piece, and evan wallace’s webgl caustic renderer. i feel like pieces emulating nature work particularly well on this display.

@hturan @hndrk_schfr @Thorhian @mxsage No, not yet. It's rather cost-prohibitive to experiment with at the moment. The panels are expensive, shipping adds to the cost, and then there's the increasing cost of components on top of all that. Ni modo.

We're hoping to prototype and test it out in the future, though!

@hturan @hndrk_schfr @Thorhian @mxsage The driver board used in Flow, Enchanter, is designed to drive larger panels and can support panel sizes up to about 75"

and here’s @mxsage’s lovely “36 points” running on this 60hz eink panel with the @Modostech glider driver board

here’s a quick demo of a macos writerdeck i’m throwing together with this 60fps eink display. you can see more of the ghosting in this demo, but i feel it works well enough for light typing and browsing.

turns out 60hz hi-dpi eink screens feel pretty magical

TICKEY launches on Kickstarter Aug 11 at 11 AM EDT.

We worked with Enilinx to bring our display-driving technology to its 3.7" Spectra 6 display, reducing refresh time from ~13s to 2s.

[Modos @Boston, MA @Modostech]

TICKEY is designed for everyday carry, information display, and NFC sharing.

You probably don't need to know that:

For about 50 dollars you can add touch to any screen. I added touch to my 60fps eink screen!!!
