There’s nothing like a security patching a service. That can break other services as they use its API. On a Friday. On the day everyone goes on Christmas holidays. Which was basically yesterday for 99% of my colleagues.
Meeeeerrrry security nightmare 🎄and a happy new year 🎊
Wtf? A new AWS account has a default Lambda concurrency limit of 10 (!) and an increase to 100 requires "collaboration with the service team"??
My brother in cloud, my other accounts have a default limit of 1000. I feel bad for this service team, if this is their daily job.
Working full time in Java again after more than 10 years is an interesting experience. I've done a lot of Scala, TypeScript and Python in the interim--of which I strongly prefer TypeScript. I'm thinking of blogging/talking/tweeting about the journey. #Java

JdbcClient a modern alternative to JdbcTemplate with fluent interface similar to WebClient or DatabaseClient from R2DBC - this will definitely become a standard and I am super happy to not having to go through a long list of JdbcTemplate methods ever again.
Gooooood morning ☕️
Pictures from my typical morning at the @LEGO_Group : A bit more luxurious than when I work from home 👌🏼🤠
Today: code review(s), security workshop, cloud infrastructure development task(s) and other fun stuff 😀
Today was a REALLY tough day at work! I had to endure a 3 course menu 🤗🤠😅. My colleague had his 25 (!!) years work anniversary at the LEGO Group.
Imagine that: 25 years of loyalty to a company. Amazing 🤩. He has adapted exceptionally with the IT industry evolution 💪🏻😎
