Many people feel powerless to do anything effective with their lives. It takes courage to break out of the settled mold, but most find conformity more comfortable. This is why the opposite courage in our society is not cowardice, it’s conformity.
- Rollo May
On clock, give 100% to employer. Off clock, give 100% to self.
Rarely stressed working 25 years. Execute their mission WHILE executing mine. Use pay to buy assets.
You’re only a drone if you allow it.
Time, financial, location freedom was always the goal. Mission accomplished.
We injure ourselves by negative or distracting ideas or people we entertain.
Difficult to master intentional skills of shutting it out, but it’s like riding a bike. The skill grows, then your self-concept grows.
That’s when the status quo world loses you forever.
Simple reminder to stay on track, keep pushing forward and be positive. No matter the rough spot you’re in mentally, physically or emotionally, it’s a temporary state. We pass in and out of them. Even though it feels like it, they’re not permanent.

Think of 9-5 as a temporary place to make money, to then buy assets, to generate income later. It’ll direct your actions and give perspective. So when you feel pressure to follow crowds at work even though it’s not you, don’t. You’re there for other reasons.

Leverage 9-5 more than it does you.
I leveraged it to:
- buy 2000 pieces of real estate
- earn financial & time freedom
- open clubs, restaurants & bars
- find my Mediterranean home
- travel to 100s of countries
Use it more than it uses you. Otherwise the reverse happens.
It’s impossible to be late in life.
That assumes you’re walking in a predetermined path. And you’re not. You’re walking your own.
So if you’re 25, 33, 42, 56, or 71… you ain’t late. That’s societal garbage.
Go ahead. Try Life On.
You’re right on time.
IT Consulting, Military, Police.
25 years. Grateful. I’m done now.
Whether you like it or not, career highway ends for all. The day is coming you either don’t want to work, can’t physically work, or they tell you to leave.
Then what?
That’s where assets come in.
Buy them.
Climbing ladders at work for recognition is a default plan many follow.
Climbing ladders at work + leveraging pay to create streams of income covering basic needs is a plan anyone can follow.
Comes down to intention.
The former creates more work.
The latter creates more life.
You’re not late in life. There’s no timetable. It’s all made up.
8 billion people can’t do it all same order yet we’re taught levels to make, timetables to hit.
What’s early? What’s late?
Compared to who?
Don’t beat yourself up. It’s YOUR schedule and you’re right on time.
That gut feeling telling you to do that thing is life screaming at you. You don’t need someone’s permission.
Opinions of peers, coworkers, neighbors & family are more responsible for killing dreams than money ever will be.
Default mindset - climb the corporate or job ladder & compete for recognition. Comes from formal education.
Alternative mindset - use the ladder to create lifestyle you don’t need vacation from. Comes from self education.
Slight shifts in focus change everything.
A mere 5-7 years of self education, saving, focus and execution can literally set families up for generations. The time is going to pass anyways so why not?
But so many are still choosing to look for microwaved success.
School emphasized competition. Rammed it into my kid brain for 15 years.
Once I let that nonsense go and focused on creation, collaboration and giving to people, everything changed.

You’re not late. Just do.
Have a why bigger than a temporary feeling.
We all get nervous at some point.
That’s why the ‘why’ matters.
If it’s important enough you’ll stay the course.
How I explain life to my kids.
Your best and highest order future is determined by two things:
1. A decision of to be all in on what you want.
2. The repetition actions and systematic patience you execute daily from there. For years and years.
