Lucy Harrison was visiting from the UK when she was shot by her father. Her father, Kris Harrison, moved to the US when she was a child.

Kris was heard telling officers that the gun accidentally went off.

"She said, ‘Do you have a gun?’ And I said, ‘Yes.’ I got it out and it just went off as she stood there, like as I pulled it out it went off," he claimed.

He admitted in court that he and his daughter previously had a "big argument" about Trump, and they had frequent fights over his conservative beliefs.

On the day of the incident, Harrison said they were arguing about guns.

Harrison says he got his gun to show her and "suddenly heard a loud bang... Lucy immediately fell."

"To shoot her through the chest whilst she was standing would have required him to have been pointing the gun at his daughter, without checking for bullets, and pulling the trigger," said senior coroner Jacqueline Devonish.

"I accept he was a teaser, and on the balance of probabilities, this is what he was doing. I accept he did not realize the gun was loaded."

Harrison was allegedly an alcoholic and reportedly drank a 17-ounce carton of white wine the day he shot his daughter.

He was able to escape manslaughter charges, and the death was ruled an accident.

JUST IN: Phoenix Police Confirm Man Fatally Shot in OIS Was Not the Suspect Officers Were Called For

Officers responded on January 26 to reports of an active shooter and home invasion, where someone was firing shots at the residence and family members.

When officers arrived, a man inside the home had disarmed the reported shooter and was restraining him.

Family members say the man who died had originally called police for help.

Officers fired one shot near the doorway, entered the home, and located two men with gunshot wounds, and one injured.

Homeowner Christian Diaz Rendon was fatally struck by the officers round.

Suspect Edgar Garcia was detained and hospitalized for injuries not related to gunfire.

A family member shot by Garcia in the leg was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hoffman Estates, Illinois experienced a multi-vehicle crash on I-90 westbound near Barrington Road early Monday, February 2, 2026, resulting in injuries and a temporary shutdown of all westbound lanes.

Crash Details:
A semi-trailer truck struck a vehicle involved in an earlier crash, causing the truck to roll onto its side. The impact pushed the stationary vehicle into an EMS worker who was assisting at the scene.

Injuries:
Both the semi-truck driver and the EMS worker were transported to nearby hospitals with injuries. The condition of the driver from the initial crash is not yet confirmed.

Cause:
Illinois State Police stated the crash was caused by a drunk driver. The driver of a black Ford sedan was arrested for DUI after the initial collision with a black Kia SUV.

NEW: 17-year-old Florida teen is facing a felony charge after allegedly intentionally setting his friend on fire.

Bradey Ming, 17, is facing a felony aggravated battery charge.

Ming is accused of throwing gasoline on a fire and making a trail towards the victim before throwing gasoline on him.

The victim was hospitalized with second-degree burns on his hand and leg. Deputies say he had a “deep full thickness burn" to his lower right leg, lower left leg and left thigh, according to Fox 35.

Ming is being held without bond.

NEW: A Chicago man and woman have been shot in their car with a baby in the back seat.

Three people were seen running up to the vehicle and firing at least two dozen shots. They then ran away & jumped into an Alfa Romeo.

Witnesses say they ran up to the car to find the baby, holding a lollipop and crying, in the back seat.

The woman was shot throughout her body and was rushed to the hospital. She is in critical condition.

The man was shot in his rear and arm. He is reportedly in good condition.

The baby was not injured.

No one is in custody.

Horrible.

🚨BREAKING: ICE/Border Patrol are now pistol-whipping 16-year-olds and smashing their heads into the curb.

In the video, an agent illegally tries to detain an unaccompanied minor, in Long Beach, California.

The child has his hands in the air.

An agent runs up and hits him in the head with a pistol. Then two agents tackle him and force his head down against the curb.

After the child is already on the ground, pinned by two armed adults, another agent brings out a K9, for what reason exactly?

Then one agent puts his knee on the child’s neck while another handcuffs him, even though he’s not resisting at all.

Unaccompanied minors are supposed to be handled through child-welfare procedures, not slammed into concrete by armed agents.

Using a gun as a weapon is deadly force. You don’t get to use deadly force on a child who is standing still with his hands up. And putting a knee on someone’s neck while they’re restrained is a textbook violation of use-of-force rules and basic constitutional rights.

ICE/Border Patrol agents are brutalizing people for sport, they are executing people because they can, trafficking children, and if they aren’t stopped no one will be safe.
