These two pictures are more than a house and a car to me. They’re the life I promised myself I’d build.
I’m 25, turning 26 in November. Right now, I have neither. I’ve been called a failure by people close to me, and honestly, there were times I believed them.
I left school chasing my football dream. I moved to Ghana after WAEC, made money, and planned to use it to travel and pursue football. Things didn’t go as planned. I made some bad decisions trying to survive, eventually stopped, and lost years trying to find my way.
I’ve tried trading. I lost my savings. I learnt barbering. I learnt photography. I tried different things, but nothing has worked out yet.
I’m not proud of where I am at 25, but I’m not finished.
If anyone knows of a legitimate job or opportunity for a young Nigerian who is willing to learn, work hard and start from the bottom, please reach out to me.
I may not have much right now, but I still have the will to build something.
That house and that car? I’m getting there.
