@CalleBCarlsson@oisincantwell TÀnkte lite fel, och minnet Àr svagt, men jag vill tro att det var 2006 eller 2007. 2009 var det absolut inte, dÄ vann vi ju guld
On October 23, 1983, Hezbollah suicide bombers detonated truck bombs at the US and French Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241 US Marines, sailors, and soldiers, 58 French military personnel, and six civilians.
The US and French forces were in Lebanon as part of a peacekeeping mission.
In a September 2023 interview, Issa Tabatabai, the Ayatollah's representative in Lebanon, acknowledged Iran's role in the attack.
Two senior Hezbollah members, Fuad Shukr and Ibrahim Aqil, were wanted by the US for their roles in the bombing. Israel eliminated both of them in 2024 during its campaign against Hezbollah.
This should be pushed far and wide. Watched in every college class in the U.S. Thank you @billmaher The moral confusion is gross. "It is not a genocide, it is a counterattack in a war...Gaza equals genocide is a lie, an easily provable lie (as I have argued from first hand observations in Gaza). The fact that so many democrats go along with it is to me the party's worse moment since they undid reconstruction after the civil war...words have meaning...genocide, kill or try to kill an entire people, you can't just change the definition of genocide to mean counterattack in a war where people including civilians die, that's every war..."
Stockholm 1 - Oslo 0. Oslo rewarded an antisemite with the peace prize, one who will never contribute to peace in the Middle East. Stockholm rewarded knowledge that actually makes lives better. Congratulations to Robert E. Hall and Michael Woodford on the 2026 prize in economic sciences. Behind every inflation figure are people trying to make ends meet. Knowledge matters when it makes lives better. @NobelPrize

HUGE Breaking News: The IDF has now published a full dossier exposing a whopping 170 Gaza âjournalistsâ who were actually military operatives in Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other terrorist organizations.
The names cut across an astonishingly broad swath of the media ecosystem. The files include people reported to have worked for Al Jazeera, Reuters, AP, CNN, BBC, AFP, ABC, Le Monde, Radio France, Anadolu and dozens of Palestinian media organizations.
But the scandal here goes far beyond the 170 names.
A profession that asks the world to treat journalists as sacrosanct has an obligation to defend the meaning of the word journalist.
Journalism isnât sacred because someone wears a PRESS vest. Itâs sacred because truth is supposed to matter more than tribe, ideology, access or narrative.
Journalists are supposed to interrogate sources, not become stenographers for a cause.
The proper response to 170 detailed allegations is neither blind acceptance nor reflexive dismissal. Itâs investigation.
Check the military IDs. Check the unit assignments. Check the employment histories. Ask the outlets what they knew.
Journalists should do journalism.
