@DW8530 I suppose it's relative. I'm 71 and have a modest occupational pension on which I'm taxed, in addition to my State Pension. Obviously £30,000 pa would represent a huge increase in my income.
@fatmogs1 Interestingly, The Electoral Commission has confirmed that there is no rule which states that 'ring-fenced' funds cannot be used for a different purpose. Embezzlement by an individual is hardly party-political.
@DW8530 Another one brainwashed by the media. Most Scots (55%) pay less tax than those in the rest of the UK as a quick visit to the HMRC website confirms.
@WingsScotland That wee lassie that was cutting about the scheme with weapons:and was being photographed with them? Get a grip, there's only so far hatred of the SNP can go.
@rgbdesign1 I saw a statement from The Electoral Commission which stated that, in the case of political parties, there is no requirement for 'ring-fenced' funds to be spent on the purpose for which they are raised.
@cwghost1 Of course she was aware of purchases.I don't profess to know if she was aware of the fraud or not but I think trial by public opinion is a slippery slope. Also pretty sure The E C is independent and no firm of accountants is likely to jeopardise its reputation by being complicit
