@Adrian4Bog@David_Ornside No, my friend. We Egyptians would never complain about a defeat or simply blame the referee for losing. We lost two Africa Cup of Nations finals and never complained.
But what happened against Argentina was a refereeing scandal unlike anything I had ever seen.
@Adrian4Bog@David_Ornside A perfectly legitimate Egyptian goal was disallowed, and later a perfectly legitimate Spanish goal was also ruled out. I honestly don't know why. They were awarded a penalty that came from a clear dive. Egypt was also denied a penalty. Argentina played with excessive aggression
@anthonykila@David_Ornside And the VAR replay was shown in extremely slow motion. The referee should have reviewed it at normal speed, not slow motion. On top of that, Egypt was denied a clear penalty, and the very next attack ended with Argentina scoring.
@anthonykila@David_Ornside a foul was immediately given just for the slightest contact.
Egypt was treated very unfairly throughout the match.
They were even awarded a penalty that was never a penalty—it was a clear dive. They also disallowed a legitimate goal for Egypt,
@David_Ornside When they were sent home and complained about Argentina being helped, I thought they are exaggerating a bit. Not anymore. Argentina is a disgrace and was sustained ny all nazis on power.
@barca_supremacy@ik_ohene7 Yes, the referee disallowed a legitimate goal for Egypt.
As evidence, awarded Argentina an almost identical goal against England.
He also denied Egypt a clear penalty after Hamdy Fathy was blatantly pulled back, and the play immediately resulted in Argentina's third goal.
