Tamil Nadu Government must consider handing over the #Veeramani case to the CBI.

Two reasons:

1.State Police investigating State Police (including Senior Officers) usually leads to compromises.

2. If evidence is found against political leaders, that the investigation is under the State Govt will lead to Opposition parties to claim political victimization.

May be a good idea to hand over the case to the CBI.

Veeramani POCSO case

CM Vijay has instructed Chennai Police to ensure that no one involved in the case is let off, and directed officials to expedite the investigation and make it foolproof.

The CM has also sought frequent updates on the probe and directed police to ensure protection of survivors and handle the case with sensitivity.

So far, eight survivors have given their testimonies, as the investigation continues to widen.

In fact there was a report that the party leadership wanted to let go of this election. This is because the by-election was forced on the people by TVK who stole people's mandate by #sofamodel.

What were they doing until then? They could've withdrawn the closure report and reopened the investigation but they didn't.

The only person deserving credit for this is the judge who ordered the reopening of the investigation. 🤦‍♂️

If you cover why a closure report was filed prematurely, please also cover why it was not withdrawn by the new government until the court forced it recently.
