๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฆ๐บ๐ธ TRILATERAL SUMMIT IN NEW YORK: Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saโar, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz held a trilateral diplomatic summit in New York today.
The three countries committed to a series of steps to upgrade Israel-Morocco relations, including upgrading their diplomatic missions to embassies and appointing ambassadors.
Israel and Morocco also agreed to finalize investment-protection and double-taxation agreements by the end of 2026, aimed at facilitating mutual investment and strengthening economic and business ties.
Direct flights between Israel and Morocco will also be expanded to include Moroccan airlines, with the new flights expected to begin in the coming weeks.
The two countries further agreed to reciprocal high-level visits in the coming months.
Israel thanked the United States for its leadership and continued efforts to advance peace and security, which enabled the trilateral summit and helped strengthen Israel-Morocco ties.
The summit came one day after an event hosted by Ambassador Waltz at his residence marking six years since the Abraham Accords, attended by representatives of the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Israel and the United States.
