🛡️ சென்னை பெருநகர காவல்துறை, போக்சோ (POCSO) சட்டத்தின் கீழ் வரும் குற்றங்கள் தொடர்பான ஒரு முக்கிய வழக்கை விசாரித்து வருகிறது. இதில், சிறுமி ஒருவரின் புகைப்படம் அல்லது காணொளி ஊடகங்கள் மற்றும் சமூக வலைதளங்களில் பகிரப்பட்டிருப்பது கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது.

⚠️ சிறுமி ஒருவரின் இத்தகைய புகைப்படங்களைப் பகிர்வது ஒரு குற்றமாகும். அத்தகைய புகைப்படங்களை வெளியிடுவது போக்சோ (POCSO) சட்ட பிரிவு 23(2)-ன் கீழ் குற்றமாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது. எனவே, இது தொடர்பான தகவல்களைப் பொதுவெளியில் பகிர வேண்டாம் என்று அறிவுறுத்தப்படுகிறது.

📢 இவ்வழக்கு தொடர்பான ஆதாரங்கள் ஏதேனும் இருப்பின், அவற்றை பெருநகர சென்னை காவல்துறையிடம் சமர்ப்பிக்குமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்ளப்படுகிறது.

🚨 Greater Chennai Police is investigating a sensitive case related to POCSO offences. It has been observed that certain photographs/clips of a minor girl have been shared in media as well as in Social media handles.

⚠️ Sharing of any such pictures of a minor is a criminal offence. Publication of any such picture is an offence under section 23(2) POCSO Act and warrants legal action. Hence it is requested not to share any such information in public. Anyone having evidence related to this case may produce it with Greater Chennai Police.

#Breaking - The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) will upgrade 780 damaged bus route and interior roads covering 160 km across all 15 zones at an estimated cost of Rs 150 crore.

As part of the first phase, the GCC has prepared detailed project reports for upgrading 45.13 km of 66 bus route roads and 114.87 km of 714 interior roads, together covering 160 km and 780 roads. The DPRs have been sent to the state government for administrative approval.

Once approvals are secured, tenders will be invited immediately, with the corporation planning to take up the road improvement works before the onset of the northeast monsoon.

A three-km of Cooum River to be restored first, CM C Joseph Vijay holds first review meeting on restoring the river.

Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Tuesday reviewed proposals for the restoration and development of the Cooum River, with the Chennai Rivers Restoration Trust (CRRT) set to initially focus on a three-km stretch as part of the project’s concept plan and demonstration works.

The review meeting at the Secretariat focused on preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), proposed facilities and the next steps for restoring the Cooum to its natural state and ensuring sustainable environmental restoration.

The state government had announced in its 2026-27 budget that priority would be given to Chennai’s river restoration projects and that a DPR would be prepared for the Cooum restoration project.

The initial three-km stretch will be examined for development of pedestrian and cycling paths, riverside walkways, viewing decks, green spaces, community-use facilities and nature-based environmental improvement measures.

Vijay also reviewed the progress of DPR preparation and proposals to invite global tenders to secure international technical expertise and standards for the project.

He directed officials to take up the restoration in multiple phases through an integrated and sustainable approach, with the objective of improving Chennai’s river environment and creating better public spaces and amenities for residents.
