#WATCH | Lucknow, UP: The District Magistrate and Joint Police Commissioner inspect UPTET examination centres to review security and arrangements.

Vishak G. Iyer (District Magistrate, Lucknow) says, “Regarding the TET examination in the Lucknow district—scheduled for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th—there are a total of 46 centres where the exam will be conducted. Across these days, a total of 76,000 candidates will participate. In accordance with the Commission's directives, adequate arrangements have been ensured at every centre, and the exam is proceeding smoothly. Personnel such as sector magistrates, static magistrates, and internal and external examiners have been deployed. From a security perspective, comprehensive measures—including CCTV surveillance—have been implemented at all centres…”

#WATCH | Lucknow, UP: Bablu Kumar (Joint Police Commissioner, L&O, Lucknow) says, “The TET exam is being held across Uttar Pradesh today, as well as on July 3rd and 4th. In Lucknow, the exam is taking place at 46 centres. The first shift began at 9:30 AM. Adequate police personnel, led by Sub-Inspectors, have been deployed at all centres to maintain law and order and ensure security. We assigned two police personnel to accompany each Sector Magistrate to transport confidential materials from the treasury to the exam centres. The District Magistrate and I are currently inspecting the centres; candidates have undergone proper checking and frisking before being admitted inside. The exam has commenced, and no issues have been reported so far…”

#WATCH | Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: On the alleged Ram Mandir donation embezzlement case, UP Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar says, "... The government is doing its work. The temple is under the trust, and an SIT inquiry has been ordered. In the investigation, eight people were found guilty and have been sent to jail. The police will continue to question them in remand. Opposition is troubled as their own people are being caught in this matter..."

#WATCH लखनऊ, उत्तर प्रदेश: ज़िला मजिस्ट्रेट और संयुक्त पुलिस कमिश्नर ने UPTET परीक्षा केंद्रों का निरीक्षण किया।

ज़िला मजिस्ट्रेट विशाख जी. अय्यर ने कहा, "TET परीक्षा 2, 3 और 4 तारीख को संपन्न होगी। लखनऊ में कुल 46 सेंटर हैं जिसमे परीक्षा होगी। तीनों दिन कुल मिलाकर 76,000 अभ्यर्थी परीक्षा देंगे। आयोग के निर्देशानुसार हर सेंटर में व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित कर ली गई है। CCTV सहित सुरक्षा के सभी इंतजाम किए गए हैं। प्रदेश के विभिन्न जिलों के साथ-साथ दूसरे प्रदेशों से भी अभ्यर्थी परीक्षा के लिए आ रहे हैं उनके आवागमन के लिए भी अलग-अलग विभागों से बात कर परिवहन और रैन बसेरे की व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित की गई है ताकि अभ्यर्थियों को किसी प्रकार की असुविधा ना हो।"

#WATCH | Lucknow, UP: On the abolition of the Uttarakhand Madrasa Education Board, Chairman of the Islamic Centre of India and Executive Member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahli, says, "The abolition of the Madrasa Board is a deeply regrettable and condemnable move. The Board was established specifically to oversee the operation of madrasas across the state's blocks; it managed their education, curriculum, and examinations. Its sudden dissolution is extremely unfortunate and casts a serious shadow of doubt over the very existence of these madrasas. It is not as if Muslims alone have religious educational institutions—communities of all faiths do—yet, regrettably, whenever such attacks occur, they are invariably targeted at Muslim institutions. We condemn this action in the strongest possible terms and urge the government to reconsider its decision."

#WATCH | Lucknow, UP: On the abolition of the Uttarakhand Madrasa Education Board, General Secretary, All India Shia Personal Law Board, Maulana Yasoob Abbas says, "In my opinion, this is absolutely wrong. The way laws regarding madrasas are being framed in Uttarakhand and how all established norms are being disregarded. If the very concept of the madrasa is being abolished, then what about 'Shishu Mandirs'? Religious education is imparted in 'Shishu Mandirs' just as it is in madrasas. It is entirely wrong to adopt such a double standard—shutting down madrasas and abolishing the madrasa system while remaining silent about 'Shishu Mandirs.' I believe this is completely wrong. On behalf of the All India Shia Law Board, I strongly oppose the role the Uttarakhand government is playing in this matter."
